Education is the most important tool for the social and economic growth of a person and of a nation, yet colleges in India struggle to teach the skills industry and society need. To close that gap the Vivekanandha Educational Institutions set up a centre for skill development with the MSME Technology Development Centre, the Tamil Nadu Apex Skill Development Centre for Logistics, Learnet Skills Ltd, Bharathidasan University's Institute for Entrepreneurship and Career Development, and C Cube Technologies.
Its aim is to bring students' skills up to international standards, with industry closely involved, and to build the courses that make them employable. Alongside their degrees, students learn practical skills that bridge what is taught and what industry needs.
