A vision, patiently
built into institutions

Three trusts, one conviction — that education is the surest path to the empowerment of women and the progress of a region.

Our story

From a single trust to a family of colleges

Vivekanandha Educational Institutions is the work of Prof. Dr. M. Karunanithi — an educationist, philanthropist, chemist and industrialist whose profound experience and unique vision reshaped access to higher education for women in the Kongu region.

With lofty ideas and clear goals — modest in expression, meticulous in execution — he established the Angammal Educational Trust in 1987. Over the following decades, that first seed grew into a comprehensive family of institutions spanning medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, physiotherapy, naturopathy, engineering, arts & science and teacher education.

Today, under the banner of the Vivekanandha Educational Institutions, these are the temples of learning he set out to build — and their driving force remains unchanged: the advancement and empowerment of women.

“The architect and driving force behind the temples of learning under the banner of the Vivekanandha Educational Institutions.”

Expansion
Vision & mission

A strong foundation for lifelong learning

Our purpose is to prepare women not merely for examinations, but for life — to build in every student the knowledge, discipline and confidence that carry through a career and a lifetime.

To increase awareness of opportunity on an individual, human scale — and to offer equally clear paths to success.

That mission is pursued across every faculty: through rigorous academics, teaching hospitals and laboratories, skill-development and placement, and a culture that places character and service alongside achievement.
